Post Cereal's Whole-Grain History

Thousands of years ago, whole-grain wheat became a dietary staple because it was filling and easy to harvest.

In 1895, C.W. Post used whole grains to make the first batch of a powdered cereal he called Postum.

In the 1970s, it was proven that whole-grain fiber reduces the risk of certain diseases and aids in digestive health.

Around the same time, whole grains were linked with a decrease in heart disease.

Antioxidants became popular in the 1990s when scientists linked them to disease prevention and anti-aging. Around this same time, researchers found that whole grains contain antioxidants.

In the 2000s, whole grains were identified as a possible mechanism to prevent against diseases caused by inflammation.

And though our knowledge of the whole grain has evolved, our recipe for natural health hasn't.

Our whole grains have always had natural fiber and antioxidants.

That's the Post Natural Advantage.
